My new shoes

I should stop buying shoes.. seriously .. this is the third pair of "wedding shoes" that I have bought. These were a bargain of $19.95 so I don't feel so bad!!

My first pair, my witness shoes are very bridal and bling.. also.. they hurt my feet.. :( I tried breaking them in.. and well I ended up with sore feet and only lasted 1hr in them. absolute killer...(i mean like jaws... seriously.. coming to bite me from every angle)

I then found a pair of red chucks (converse) and I bought them for the reception.. I am still going to wear them, but FH reckons they look ridiculous for a wedding.. or maybe they just look ridiculous on my feet, who knows.. FH was amused at first.. then is a bit like what?

These ones.. I found while doing the weekly 'grocery' shop. *cough*
Super comfortable.. worn these babies for 3hrs so far and my feet ain't sore.. Been pacing, sitting... even tried dancing (and I put the word tried, as its true.. we both suck at the dancing bit) and were really comfortable.

And I took my friends motto when buying this 'if it has a bow on it... consider it bought" So it looks like we have a winner girls.. And they match the BM dresses.. how fortunate :P

How hard has your shoe hunt been? success? please tell!

The whole look so far for the girls.

Lets hope we can pull this off!! I just pulled this together to see how the overall look is turning out. So far Im pretty okay with it. I think I would feel better if I could see it all together on, but its not going to happen to the wedding day and it all comes together.

I hope im heading on the right track!

The girls accessories!

I havent posted in nearly a week and so much has happened!!!

So I have finally completed the girls outfit- well minus a necklace.

I bought the girls a hairpin awhile back 9.95 each. They only require one each and their so pretty!

Earrings, the girls requested non expensive earrings but they wanted bling ones. So purchased those. 10.00each.

and picked up the girls black clutches last week. So I think the overall look is coming together.
If you can imagine Red silk dresses, and black satin peep toes a black pashmina shawl for when it gets a little cool due to the wind and these accessories, I think the BMs are taken care of.

Super happy with the purchases. Overall look for the girls are
$140 dollars each without the shoes. Girls are purchasing their own. So another thing ticked off the list!

Meeting Mrs Needle

So want to see the results of my dress fitting? Something like this maybe!! (photo below:robo bride) describes exactly how I was feeling on the day of my fitting.. a little stiff, a little tense and a little powder puff.

but needless to say it was a success!! YAY! I actually met Mrs Needle (no play on words here or cute shop story) her name is actually Mrs Needle, she inspired me with the confidence I needed.
Sweetheart neckline achievable. Panel in the back, that's a goer too! yay!
I just need to find 1.5metres of matte satin in my dress color. I have contacted a friend in our nearest capital city and sent her a sample of my dress! that will also create a tie for FH to match my dress. Mrs Needle thinks of everything she does! (I actually just like typing Mrs Needle, I still find it funny.. lame I know huh!)
Dress need to be taken up? Nope.. not an inch. Apparently with the cute heels I'm rocking there at the appropriate length. (10cms)
The two flowers well one of them is gone and I'm going to keep one. I'm using the other as a hair accessory that I will make! (another DIY to add to the list!)
So success!
How did your dress fitting go?

Shoes - The best buy a girl can make!

In November the girls and I departed our coastal city to make the drive to the states capital on a mission to;
  1. Pick up my dress - EXCITING!! (the girls had not seen it yet)
  2. Try and find dresses for the 3 lovely girls
  3. If the girls didn't have shoes to purchase a pair.
  4. to have a fab girls weekend!

After finding the girls dresses on the first day, the second day in the city we decided to cruise a few shops and we headed in a few different directions, one of the bridesmaids had never been on a train before so she had to indulge!

Since picking up the dress, I thought now was a good time to go searching for the shoes. I didn't want to spend alot of money but after searching about 15 different shoes stores, I had no luck, and thought stuff it, I'm heading to a boutique!

The store was a called Wittner and what a fab shop it is! We have nothing like this in the coastal city!

My shoes that I selected also came in a fab red! Which I was tempted to buy, I think tho that my mother would have a heart attack if I walked out with shoes like that! For $140 AUD dollars I'm sure I made a great buy. I hope you like them too!

They also have an online store if your interested;
