Thank You Cards. Im on to it like donkey kong!

So tonight... Not only am I sending out our save the dates tomorrow. EXCITEMENT!

I finished the design for our thank you cards, keeping it fairly simple.

All 160 printed and cut tonight! I know your thinking why has she done it this early? well I'm thinking.. I do not want to do this after the wedding sitting designing and creating. Id rather it be done with and me just start writing and sending!

It even comes with its own DIY jazzed up envelope I created. :) I know its not spectacular but its on the KISS (keep it simple stupid) principle.

I finished our save the dates tonight by running the envelopes through the printer..

So here's the final product! P.S my colors for the wedding are red.. But i really liked these green envelopes so I figured it was OK to use them for Save the Date :) They are really shimmery.

Also the appearance of green could be given for the actual save the date...but it isn't.. its actually a light gold paper, the camera just likes to think the save the dates is green :)

Also addresses are somewhat blurred for the Internet, but I wanted to show you the font.

There just all ready to be put in envelopes and sent!

WOOT WOOOT!!

I'm waiting till next week to send, as it is my brothers wedding on Saturday.

Good to have another DIY project done!

Save the dates round 2!

In my last post I told you about this really cool template from Weddingchicks!

Well, we decided to do both as we like both our designs! Sending one half to some guests and the other half to others.

Here they are! I loveeeeeee them! Just need to go get envelopes!

Save the dates - Im thinking of scrapping and redoing? Am I crazy!

I found this on weddingchicks.com and I really want them for my save the date.

Very tempted to redo mine for my original design as I haven't sent out my save the dates yet...

I shouldn't... but I'm in love!!

To do this month!!

Things I need to do this month;

1. Find/ Book the music and entertainment for ceremony and reception.


2. Start thinking about a bridal registry.


3. Start my search for my wedding cake.


4. Give my reception venue a call to talk about caterer.


5. Pay deposit for caterer and talk menus.


6. Determine my budget for my flowers.


7. Send out our Save the Dates.
   

DIY

1. Finish my flower project for reception venue or at least complete half.


2. Finish the letters for hanging on arch way (at the moment they are just painted and looking boringggggg!)

3. Complete attachment of RSVP wraps for inside the invitation.

I have alot of things to do this month... *gulp* oh dear.

Save The Dates - Template Included!

Most of you probably have visited the weddingchicks.com website and seen that they have some pretty awesome stuff and freebies! I downloaded this freebie below...(in case you like the design, you can go get it yourself i have included the link)

I decided to use the dahlia response card as my template, using photo shop I changed the color to red instead of yellow and also erased the wording they had so it was blank template :) Because weddingchicks.com own the template I am not able to provide you with the red template because I created it for my own personal use and it would be an infringement on copyright if I gave it out. Pity I know!

1. Printed the design on some white gold paper I found in K-mart (like the local walmart)for 4 AUD dollars for 25 sheets and printed the design out on the home printer.
2. I had some packets of blank cards that I had saved for cardmaking. I decided to cut these cards in half and use them as my backing card for the wording to be glued on to add a bit of contrast. These cards a plain beige.
3. Using my hole punch I punched holes in the corners and threaded red ribbon through and secured with a knot at the back so the ribbon wouldn't fall through
   

The ribbon is purposefully done loose so it can be hung from anyone's fridge or memo board... FH idea!

It is really easy, it took me 3 days after work to complete these with help from FH. I have done 95 in total.

All they need to do is just the envelope to be addressed.. I am feeding them through the printer and using fonts from www.dafont.com (because my handwriting is shocking!) They are due for posting mid january.
